HELP GET REFUGEES OFF THE STREETS OF MOROCCO
I have stayed in very close contact with many of the young refugees from the film who are still in Morocco, plus new arrivals who have fled the current catastrophic war in Sudan.
We started renting a small house in Rabat, Morocco in mid 2024, which has enabled many Sudanese and other refugees to get off the streets and into a safe and secure place to live.
Over the past months, this project has grown significantly, and today our focus has shifted toward supporting women, children, and families living on the streets or in extremely difficult conditions — including many people who have recently arrived in Morocco after fleeing the ongoing war in Sudan.
Independent projects like this have never been more essential, particularly after the current U.S. administration cut funding to UNHCR operations worldwide, which previously accounted for up to 35% of its total funding.
Very often, people ask: "How can I/we help?"
I am happy to share that there is a way to make a very real and significant difference in the lives of those who need it most.
